Moxi Recruitment are proud to support a large secondary academy school in their recruitment of a Cover Supervisor.
This is a permanent opportunity, working on a term time only basis plus 5 days training. Contracted hours are 37 hours per week. The role is based in Salford.
The Cover Supervisor will provide support where the subject teacher is unavailable. The role isn’t a teaching position. The nature of the role means that the subject groups will be varied, and so flexibility and adaptability is a must.
Duties – Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher – Follow lesson plans and ensure that students stay on task – Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment – Assist with tutoring and homework help as needed – Foster a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere – Implement behaviour management strategies when necessary – Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians – Collaborate with other educators to ensure continuity of instruction
Skills – Strong communication skills, both verbal and written – Experience working with children in a classroom setting – Knowledge of tutoring techniques and strategies – Ability to mentor and support students in their educational journey
